EXPERIENCE ACROSS

From the studio floor to the C-suite.

Studio Development. Publishing. Operations.

Your teams need someone who understands their pressures, earns their trust, and gets work moving.

I've spent years on the studio floor building and shipping AAA games, years in publishing bringing departments together, and years in operations turning leadership priorities into work teams can deliver.

You get a rare 360-degree view of AAA development. I understand the trade-offs between creative ambition, commercial needs, and operational demands because I've worked through them from all three sides. I help your teams resolve those trade-offs, address risks early, and make commitments they can meet.

That experience shaped the Project Milestone Framework and End to End Readiness programs I co-created at ZeniMax. They connected studio progress with publishing and launch requirements, giving teams clear responsibilities and leadership a shared view of what was ready, what was at risk, and what needed attention.

I've also carried Chief of Staff responsibilities for senior leaders in Development and Operations. I bring that same follow-through to your C-suite initiatives: getting the right people involved, resolving blockers, and staying with the work through delivery.

Whether you need to ship a game, strengthen a portfolio, or deliver an organizational priority, I know how to connect the people and decisions that make it happen.

Let’s connect about Chief of Staff, Strategy and Operations, and Production leadership opportunities.

01 / SELECTED RESULTS

Selected results.

01 / End to End Readiness
2 to 3 → 0

Reduced preventable launch issues.

Recurring preventable P1 launch issues per title, reduced over three years.

The P1 issues that used to surface at launch week now get caught while there's still time to fix them, not explain them. Built with operations leadership around shared requirements and clear owners, it's why preventable launch issues per title went from 2 to 3 down to zero over three years.

02 / PRODUCTION & INVESTMENT FRAMEWORKS
4 to 6 titles

Informed portfolio investment decisions.

Concurrent AAA titles supported through portfolio governance.

Before the next dollar goes into a title, you get the evidence, the risk, and the real trade-offs, not a status update dressed up as one. The Project Milestone Framework and ZeniMax Greenlight process built that discipline across titles representing $100M+ budgets and studios of 100+ people.

03 / DELIVERY UNDER A FIXED DEADLINE
1 month early

Delivered an acquisition commitment early.

Acquisition-related catalog delivery supporting Microsoft and Game Pass commitments.

When Microsoft and Game Pass commitments came with a fixed deadline, the deadline held, with a month to spare. That meant one plan and one set of owners across publishing and executive stakeholders, not department timelines hoping to meet in the middle.

04 / POST-LAUNCH RECOVERY
Won back players. Reopened promotional opportunities.

Mostly Negative to Mostly Positive

I drove a nine-month turnaround that moved Steam reviews from Mostly Negative to Mostly Positive and restored the title's promotional eligibility. The team delivered offline functionality, improved matchmaking and AI, and cleared blocking bugs. The result: a better game, stronger player sentiment, and renewed opportunities to promote the title.

05 / TEAM GROWTH
15 percent

Helped people grow. Helped the team thrive.

I coached producers, listened to their challenges, and helped them work through difficult decisions. By offering practical guidance and support, I helped build confidence and trust across the department. During that period, the department grew 15 percent with just one external departure.

06 / READINESS SYSTEMS
1,200 readiness items

Twenty-plus departments. One coordinated path to launch.

I helped shape the vision for End to End Readiness and drove its implementation, bringing leaders and teams together to connect the work across development, publishing, and operations. At peak, it tracked roughly 1,200 items across a title's full lifecycle, with the greatest concentration around Vertical Slice and Alpha. Clear owners and visible dependencies helped teams address gaps early and gave leadership a shared view of readiness.

02 / BUSINESS APPROACH

How I help leaders make better portfolio decisions.

I assess whether the scope, staffing, budget, and schedule support the proposed investment.

Before leaders commit more money or people, they need a clear view of progress and risk. I use working builds, milestone evidence, and readiness criteria to assess costs and schedules. I've built frameworks used across 60+ titles to support those decisions.

Check progress before committing more budget.

I use working builds, milestone evidence, and explicit readiness criteria to help leaders evaluate the next commitment of money and people. The aim is to expose weak assumptions while there is still time to respond.

Experience: Co-created the Project Milestone Framework and developed the ZeniMax Greenlight process.

Connect staffing and scope to the plan.

I assess staffing gaps, external development options, scope changes, and schedule pressure together so leaders can choose a plan the team can afford and deliver.

Experience: Supported governance across 4 to 6 concurrent AAA titles, partnering with leaders on titles representing $100M+ budgets and studios of 100+ people.

Protect the launch investment.

A game’s production plan must connect to publishing and operational readiness. I align owners and dependencies across QA, localization, certification, marketing, and release planning so avoidable gaps are addressed before launch.

Result: Helped reduce recurring preventable P1 launch issues from 2 to 3 per title to zero over three years.

Turn changing priorities into action.

Shifts in platforms, player attention, and business models can change what a portfolio needs to deliver. I help executives translate those priorities into departmental responsibilities, resource discussions, and delivery commitments.

Result: Led acquisition-related catalog delivery one month early, supporting commitments tied to Microsoft and Game Pass.

03 / LEADERSHIP IN PRACTICE

Connect leadership priorities to the work.

Studio, publishing, and operations experience helps me build plans that work for the people responsible for delivering them.

As de facto Chief of Staff to two successive SVPs, first Development, then Operations, I worked across studio teams, publishing departments, and senior leadership to turn decisions into action.

I co-created the Project Milestone Framework with the SVP of Development to connect evidence of studio progress with portfolio decisions. The framework supported work across 60+ titles and 20+ departments, giving teams and leadership a shared basis for discussing progress, risk, and the next investment.

I co-created End to End Readiness with the SVP of Operations to connect production plans with QA, localization, certification, marketing, and release planning. Clear owners and earlier attention to dependencies helped reduce recurring preventable P1 launch issues from 2 to 3 per title to zero over three years.

Both programs depended on trust and follow-through. I brought departments together, worked through disagreements, and stayed involved until teams could use the approach in their daily work. That's the experience I bring to your production challenges and C-suite priorities.

01

Games brought to release

Helped recover at-risk productions by rebuilding stakeholder alignment, clarifying decisions, and keeping studio leaders and executive sponsors informed.

02

Priorities carried into execution

Translated priorities from successive SVPs of Development and Operations into cross-departmental policy, shared processes, and coordinated delivery.

03

Producers trusted to lead

Coached 12+ producers through dotted-line relationships. Nathan Nolan’s recommendation describes clear expectations, major project ownership, and guidance without micromanagement.

04 / OPERATING DISCIPLINE

How I manage delivery.

My work on End to End Readiness and the Project Milestone Framework covers four areas: investment evidence, scope and staffing decisions, release requirements, and clear ownership. These frameworks define investment gates with intentionality, align scope and resource allocation with clear goal definitions, and lock release readiness criteria while preserving studio flexibility and creative autonomy. Through collaboration with studios and operations teams, we've built guardrails that keep projects measurable and on track without compromising quality. Shared goals across teams have clarity. Metrics-based checkpoints surface risks early so leadership can make informed contingency plans rather than reacting too late to schedule slides.

01

Test the investment case

  • Use builds to test assumptions
  • Define evidence for milestones
  • Expose unresolved risks
  • Connect progress to decisions
02

Make trade-offs explicit

  • Track scope growth
  • Identify critical staffing gaps
  • Assess delivery dependencies
  • Escalate decisions with options
03

Protect release commitments

  • Align publishing and studio plans
  • Assign readiness owners
  • Convert failures into prevention
  • Confirm operational handoffs
04

Keep ownership clear

  • Translate executive priorities
  • Give producers responsibility
  • Agree expectations with studios
  • Follow through on adoption

Shalom worked with Harvard but they were at different companies

I had the good fortune to work with Harvard on a mobile and PlayStation Vita title for Sony Computer Entertainment America. He is one of the most talented project manager’s I have ever worked with. His attention to detail and clear communication made our team’s job 10X easier. When it came to providing information, assets, and guidance, Harvard always had everything we needed at the ready. There was little to no downtime whenever the ball was in his court, and he could not have been more responsive. Harvard’s talents shine from the first day of pre-production to the day the game ships (and then some). His contributions to our game were invaluable, and I eagerly look forward to working with him again.

He's diligent, makes things happen, keeps his eye on the ball, and is always willing to listen and learn new things.

He takes his work seriously and knows what it takes to make a hit game.

Harvard reported into his organization

I am writing to give my strongest recommendation for Harvard Bonin, who reported into my organization at Bethesda Softworks / ZeniMax, where he served as Production Director (Publishing) and functioned as a Chief of Staff for me as SVP of Global Operations and Technology. Over the course of our work together, Harvard consistently proved himself to be one of the most goal-driven, dependable, and unifying operators I have worked with in AAA game development.

What sets Harvard apart is his ability to drive outcomes. He doesn't just identify a problem or propose a framework and move on, he stays on it until it's delivered and adopted. He designed and rolled out the ZeniMax Production Milestone Framework and the End to End Readiness programs, and then did the harder work of getting studios, publishing, QA, localization, certification, marketing, and release planning to operate inside that model that improved predictability of game development, as well as reduce P1 issues at launch to zero over a three-year span.

Harvard is also someone leaders across the portfolio trusted specifically because he kept everyone in the loop and aligned. When a title needed a recovery effort such as Elder Scrolls: Legends and Indiana Jones & The Great Circle, Harvard was the person we turned to, not just for his production expertise, but because he had a track record of bringing every stakeholder, from studio leadership to executive sponsors, onto the same page quickly and keeping them there. That transparency and consistency became a hallmark of how he operated, and it is a big part of why the organization ran more predictably under his influence.

Beyond the process and program work, Harvard mentored producers and production leaders, strengthening the bench of talent across the organization. He built genuine, trusted relationships with executives and studio heads because he was direct and reliable.

I recommend Harvard without reservation for any leadership role that requires someone who can set a clear goal, drive an organization toward it, and keep a wide set of stakeholders genuinely aligned along the way. He would be an asset to any team fortunate enough to have him.

Managed Harvard directly

It is my pleasure to recommend Harvard Bonin. Harvard served as Production Director on my team for many years, where he was an indispensable contributor to the successful delivery of numerous products across multiple studios.

Our publishing and production environment required the coordination of many moving parts - development teams, publishing operations, marketing, quality assurance, external partners, and executive stakeholders. Harvard excelled at bringing those elements together into a cohesive, well-orchestrated process. He possesses a rare ability to understand both the strategic objectives and the operational details necessary to execute them successfully.

Harvard's greatest strengths are his communication, organization, and collaboration at any level of an organization including presentations to corporate leadership including the CEO, COO and CFO. He has an exceptional ability to build relationships across diverse teams, establish trust, and keep complex initiatives moving forward. He approaches challenges with boundless energy, deep institutional knowledge, and an unwavering commitment to delivering results. Whether coordinating schedules, aligning competing priorities, or ensuring consistency across multiple organizations, he consistently demonstrated professionalism, sound judgment, and an ability to keep everyone focused on the larger objective.

One of the qualities I valued most was Harvard's ability to see an organization as an interconnected system rather than a collection of independent functions. He understands how decisions in one area affect every other part of a program and has the discipline and organizational skills to ensure those parts work together efficiently. That systems-level perspective, coupled with his natural leadership and collaborative approach, makes him exceptionally effective in complex environments.

I believe Harvard would be an outstanding Chief of Staff or senior operational leader for any organization seeking someone who can align people, processes, and priorities while fostering collaboration and accountability. He brings not only operational excellence, but also the judgment, enthusiasm, and integrity that inspire confidence throughout an organization.

I recommend him enthusiastically and without reservation. Any organization would be fortunate to have Harvard on its leadership team.

My name is Nathan Nolan, and I worked for Harvard for about a year.

My experience with Harvard as a manager and mentor was a positive one. He did a solid job of ensuring we had clarity in our work despite the general chaos of the game development world. I appreciated his willingness to hand me major projects and get the work done without micromanaging. Harvard would check-in to ensure I had everything I needed, and provided guidance and alignment whenever I asked for it.

Harvard has extensive experience in Product and Program management, and he went out of his way to ensure we had regular coaching and mentoring sessions to aid in my professional growth. He is also welcomed the times when I would manage upward, whether it was a suggestion towards changing approach, feedback on engagement, or taking on new work.

Harvard also encouraged me to take time for self-improvement, often with valuable suggestions on videos or reading materials.

I always appreciated his general curiousness and willingness to engage with new technologies or processes, regularly finding ways to apply learnings to his, and my, professional work and skillset. It’s not often you find people in senior management positions who are as willing to embrace change.

At the end of the day, I enjoyed working for Harvard and would be more than willing to do so again.

Harvard is a driving force in the game industry. I've known him for many years and had the privilege of working with him directly at Bethesda. Put simply, Harvard gets things done. He excels at working with people—in meetings, throughout the workday, and behind the scenes—to gather and share the information needed to drive tasks to completion. He is exceptionally well organized, both in his documentation and his thinking, and consistently drives large-scale projects to successful outcomes.

Harvard brings a deep understanding of production and how workflows should operate. When faced with new systems, he quickly immerses himself in learning, mastering, and optimizing whatever framework he's working with. Throughout this process, he collaborates effectively with partners at every level, proving himself a true team player. His ability to identify the work that needs to be done—and to help others see and share that vision—makes him an outstanding leader. I've genuinely enjoyed working alongside Harvard, both for the quality of his work and his ability to make the process engaging and even fun.

Harvard is equally effective managing people and projects of any scale, from small initiatives to major undertakings. He would be a valuable addition to any team, whether as a contributor or as a leader. I look forward to the opportunity to work with him again in the future.

Harvard is a veteran producer, seasoned developer, experienced manager, and knowledgeable businessman of the AAA games industry. His organizational skills and adaptive methodology has been relied upon, product after product on each project I've been his teammate. When there is a question about how to get something done, whether its the requirements needed to pass a technical certification or if he knows a more effective communication technique with an external partner, he is one of the first people consulted. In fact, there's probably a greater chance that he will get it done himself. If the product is new IP or been in development for years, he's been there and done that. Harvard's an unbelievable resource to any production team.

Harvard is also an amazing person with excellent people skills who radiates boundless positive energy. There is a reason he is so often referred to as a "pleasure to work with," because even at the most stressful times, he is calm, cool and collected and most definitely formulating a plan to execute and lead to success. He is an impossible to find veteran that can clearly work with a wide variety of disciplines, displaying a positive attitude and tremendous work ethic.
